Earning Statement FAQ

  1. How do I access my online Earning Statement?
    To access your Earning Statements online:
    • Log on to the My UW System portal
    • Select University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, hit Select
    • Enter your ePanther ID and password. For ePanther ID activation, please see the following web address:
    • Once Logged in View Earnings, Leave, Tax and Benefits Statements
    • Select the Payroll Year from the drop down box
    • Select the Statement that you wish to view
    Secure access is available 24/7 from any internet connection.
  2. How long will my Earning Statements be available in the My UW System portal for current employees?
    Individual Earning Statements will be available for at least 18 months.
  3. Who has access to view their Earning Statements in the My UW System portal?
    Access to these documents after employment depends on your authorization to the My UW System portal.
  4. When will my Earning Statement be posted to the My UW System portal?
    They will be posted a minimum of three days before the pay date.
  5. Will corrections or adjustments to my pay record be displayed?
    No. Earning Statements represent a snapshot in time immediately following the calculation of a scheduled payroll.
  6. Do I need to print the Earning Statement from the portal?
    No, it is not necessary to print the statement since it is stored for at least 18 months online. If you choose to print your statements, these instructions apply to the Internet Explorer browser. If you are using a different browser, the instructions may be different.
    • Return to the Earning Statement page you wish to print.
    • Click on the PRINT button on your browser. Or
    • Click on the PDF and open the Earning Statement. You will need Adobe Acrobat ReaderTM in order to view these files. If you do not have it, you can download the software from the Adobe website, free.
    • You may then print as a PDF document.
  7. How secure is the information displayed in the My UW System portal?
    Access to the My UW System portal is secured according to the best practices for web security. The ePanther ID and password are conveyed using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and the password is encrypted before transmission over the Internet. After typing your ePanther ID and your password (which is encrypted on the login page and shows up only as dots or asterisks) at the login page of the My UW System portal and hitting 'login', the user is automatically directed to a secure login processing page. The ePanther ID and password are not stored on the login page of the My UW System portal but are passed through to the secure page and authentication is checked to ensure the ePanther ID and password are valid. Individuals should be aware of the things they can do to ensure their information is kept private such as:
    • Don't share your password with others
    • Ensure that you don't leave your portal session open when you walk away from your computer. This is especially vital when logging in from public computers. Be sure to log out!
