Strategic Plan Unlike many strategic plans, UWM’s HR strategic plan is built around action, accomplishments, and deliverables. You will not find our plan sitting in a 3 inch binder on the shelf. It is actually less than 20 pages and much of it is graphically presented. The fact that we review and update the plan every six months is a testament to our commitment to critical measurement and continuing momentum. UWM HR also presents our results and upcoming plans to our stakeholders and constituents on a regular basis. We have ask the campus community to hold us accountable for the things we say we want to accomplish and the deliverables we plan to provide.
UWM HR would especially like to thank those subject matter experts and passionate interest participants who have joined our working committees. We appreciate the time, knowledge and ideas they have generated within those working groups. Our success with a strategic plan is based on involvement and commitment from across the campus. We welcome others who share the vision of a campus culture and climate that supports the dual goals of access and research.
Our latest report reflects our first year in a five year strategic plan. We have made significant progress with a number of key deliverables. We have updated our two-year objectives and mapped clear tasks for each of the five working committees. We are especially proud of our accomplishments in delivery of a new HR website, managerial and leadership development programs, online requisitioning and applicant tracking, and a campus diversity forum series.
In the next six months, we look forward to continued development of the HR website into a “best in class” tool, a development series focusing on administrative procedures, finding alternative revenue sources, establishing work/life balance and wellness programs, and establishing a climate of inclusiveness on campus.
