Spring 2016 Wellness Cooking Classes


We are excited to announce UWM’s Restaurant Operations has again extended an opportunity for a limited number of employees to participate in two new cooking classes this Spring: Sushi 101 and Homemade Ravioli.

Join UWM’s Culinary Team professionals in this small-group, hands-on learning experience. Take home new skills in “from scratch” food preparation and samples of your own house-made creations.


How do I register?

Registration for classes will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. (Please note, registration for these classes are typically reserved only for UWM students, but has been extended to include employees.)

To register, send an e-mail request to Loree Krause at krausell@uwm.edu, and include the CLASS NAME in the SUBJECT line of the e-mail.

How do I pay?

Payment for each class is due by Monday, March 28, 2016. Checks or exact cash only. Checks should be made out to UW Milwaukee Human Resources and delivered to Engelmann Hall 125, Attention: Loree Krause.

Note: If after registration you cannot attend, please cancel your registration by contacting Loree Krause at krausell@uwm.edu.)

Reminder: It is recommended that you consult your physician regarding any potential health concerns BEFORE participating in these wellness classes. (For instance this could include food allergies or other potential health risks related to cooking classes which involve general food handling and preparation with group-level supervision in a large kitchen setting.)

There will be NO refunds issued for cancellations on or after the class date.



Sushi 101

Homemade Ravioli
