Your ePantherACCOUNT and Campus Technology
Your ePantherACCOUNT and password give you access to many IT services. The following are just a few:
- pantherLINK – web email and calendaring utility
- pantherFILE – secure file storage and sharing service for faculty, staff and students
- PAWS – online student services system used by instructors, advisors and students
- D2L – UWM's Web-based online course management system
- Campus WiFi – wireless network access
- Campus Computer Labs (CCL) – PC and Mac computers pre-installed with popular software
- CMS - UWM's Content Management System
- Library - full use available to regularly attending students and employees
- pantherLIST – email list utility
- pantherPRINT – pay-for-print utility available in the Campus Computer Labs
- UWM Survey Instrument – software to develop/deploy surveys and collect/analyze data
- Anti-virus software – available for download
- UWM TechStore – campus computer, peripheral and tech accessory retail store
- UWM TechRepair – on-campus repair facility
- WISC – Wisconsin Online Software catalog with discounted software
- My UW System portal (employees only) – payroll, leave and benefits information
Members of this ePanther community include Employees, Students, Sponsored Guests, Emeriti and Annuitants.
Students living on campus will have access to ResNET and may find the New Student Checklist for campus services and resources useful to them. Applicants to UWM receive an ePantherACCOUNT to receive early access to the following services:
- Paws self-service - access for class registration, grade checking, tuition/housing
- ResNET - The Residence Halls computer network
- Campus WiFi – wireless network access
The UWM Information Security Office web-site provides virus alerts, information and tools to assist individuals in using campus technology safely.
Most services are responsible for authorization decisions. The IAM Team provides infrastructure and support enabling services to offer access at the desired service level.
