eduroam is a relatively new type of wireless networking. Instead of having to get a temporary or “guest” account when visiting a campus, you can use your ePantherID and password to connect to a member institution’s wireless network. eduroam is provided at an increasing number of universities in the United States and at many others around the world.
What this means for you
For members of the UWM community visiting other member institutions, eduroam will allow you to connect to their wireless network using your ePantherID, password and a properly configured wireless capable device.
For visiting members of other participating universities, eduroam will allow you to connect to the wireless network provided on the UWM campus using your home institution's credentials.
For details of this service and to see a list of member institutions visit eduroam.
The eduroam wireless network is available at UWM everywhere UWMWiFi is, currently in these areas.
