UW-Milwaukee is a member of 
eduroam is a relatively new type of wireless networking. Instead of having to get a temporary or “guest” account when visiting a campus, you can use your ePantherID and password to connect to a member institution’s wireless network. eduroam is provided at an increasing number of universities in the United States and at many others around the world.
What this means for you
For members of the UWM community visiting other member institutions, eduroam will allow you to connect to their wireless network using your ePantherID, password and a properly configured wireless capable device.
For visiting members of other participating universities, eduroam will allow you to connect to the wireless network provided on the UWM campus using your home institution's credentials.

Availability
The eduroam wireless network is available at UWM everywhere UWMWiFi is, currently in these areas.
Connecting
Connect to the eduroam before you leave UWM. UWMWiFi / eduroam Set-Up Instructions can be found here. Please note that eduroam should be entered as the SSID. Also note that in some cases of inability to connect, some devices may need their wireless network adapter driver updated.
For all eduroam Users
When connecting to the eduroam wireless network it is very important to include both your home institution’s username as well as your home domain (plus your usual password) in order to login.
For members of the UWM community this will look like your email address, eg your..ePantherID@uwm.edu
Conditions of Use
The use of eduroam is governed by University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee’s Acceptable Use of Information Technology Resources Policy.
Visitors are also required to adhere to their home institutions acceptable use policies. Authentication and activity may be logged and monitored for statistical purposes or possible network abuse.
Getting Help
Support for members of the UWM Community visiting Other Locations
Before you visit another eduroam location, make sure you configure your device to work with the eduroam wireless network at UWM.
If your device can successfully connect to eduroam at UWM you should not need to make any changes to use your device when at another eduroam location.
Please note that the other eduroam location cannot assist you in configuring your wireless device and can only answer questions regarding availability of the eduroam service at their location. If you experience connection problems at another eduroam location, please verify that the eduroam network is working at the other location with the local IT support before contacting the UWM Help Desk.
Support for Visitors to the UWM campus
Before you visit UWM, make sure you configure your device to work with the eduroam wireless network at your home institution.
If your device can successfully connect to eduroam at your home institution you should not need to make any changes to use your device at UWM.
Please note that we cannot assist you in your configuring your wireless device and can only answer questions regarding availability of the eduroam service at UWM.
