McAfee Antivirus Downloads
The latest version of McAfee antivirus software is now available for download on personally-owned computers!
UWM's McAfee antivirus software license includes home use for all current students, faculty and staff at UWM. A valid ePanther ID and password are required to access the campus versions of McAfee VirusScan or McAfee Virex.
You must follow safe computing practices, run antivirus software AND have up-to-date virus definition files to protect yourself against the latest computer viruses. We encourage installing antivirus programs on all of your personally-owned computers.
Below are simple executable files that will walk you through the installation process. Choose your version of McAfee antivirus software from these links to download and install the software:

To install McAfee VSE 8.8 for Windows 8 please follow the following steps:
Step 1: Double click on the VSE8.8_UWM_Win8.exe icon to run the program.
Step 2: If windows pops up with a prompt asking if you want to run this program, click on the “More Info” link to see more options.
Step 3: Click on “Run Anyway” button to begin the installation process.
Step 4: If a User Access Control box pops up asking if you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer, click “Yes”.
Step 5: Wait while McAfee is installed, when it is finished a prompt will pop up telling you your computer will be restarted. Once your computer restarts you have successfully installed McAfee 8.8!
