Change Management
The Change Management process provides a clearly defined procedure to submit, review, approve and schedule requests for service changes. The focus of this process is ensuring that changes to the IT environment are carefully considered and reviewed to minimize the impact on campus users and existing services.
A formal UITS-wide Change Management process is in place since February of 2011. Individuals submit change requests through the Change Tracker (http://www.changetracker.uwm.edu) for review and approval from the UITS Change Advisory Board (CAB). The Change Tracker tool allows all individuals to track online where their request is along the process and what action needs to be taken.
