Caregiver Background Checks
The Wisconsin Caregiver Law requires background and criminal history checks of certain personnel who are responsible for the care, safety and security of children and adults. At UWM, the Caregiver Law has primary applicability to UWM faculty, staff, and students who are teaching, working or learning at schools, daycare centers, hospitals, clinics, and residential care facilities, and other health or care providers.
