UWM Numbers and Facts

You will find that UWM has changed since you were a student. Today, UWM is the second largest research university in Wisconsin with research funding of $68 million. Seventy-two percent of our freshman class lives on campus in one of six residence halls. Letters & Science offered 233 on-line classes in 2010-11. Nine new doctoral programs have been established in the past five years, and the campus master plan includes the Kenwood Integrated Research Complex, an interdisciplinary research space for the natural sciences.

Annual or One-time Gifting

Support our students and programs through an annual or one-time gift. Scholarships have become increasingly important to our student body, many of whom must balance work and school in order to afford a college education. Funded primarily by the generosity of alumni just like you, Letters & Science provides numerous scholarship opportunities.

Every gift of any size makes a difference and can be directed for general scholarships, research support, or towards a specific department or program. If you would like to be contacted about a planned gift, a special designated gift, a corporate matching gift or other giving question, please click the Update Your Information icon or e-mail let-sci@uwm.edu. We appreciate your consideration of a gift today.
