Fragments of Faith
May 2 – 23, 2013
The UW-Milwaukee Art History Deparment's biennial museum studies seminar presents Fragments of Faith, an exhibition of religious and ritual artifacts donated to the UWM Art Collection over the last forty years. The objects on display include medieval Christian reliquaries and African fetish figures that demonstrate not only the manifold ways in which humans give material expression to the sacred, but also profound similarities among the spiritual practices of diverse peoples.
