Henri-Gabriel Ibels:
Beyond the Nabis

March 10 - March 31, 2011

Explore the Parisian Fin-de-Siècle through the works of Henri-Gabriel Ibels. This show, curated by Christa Story, examines the political and social commentary of his graphic art.

Ibels is the least-known member of Les Nabis—a group of French and Swiss artists who set the pace for fine arts and graphic arts in the 1890s. Ibels was an Illustrator of French society and politics at the turn of the 20th Century. He is primarily known for his work for the theatre and periodicals.
