Biological Resources

Description

The Biological Resources focus area addresses the ecological and organism processes that produce and maintain biodiversity. Courses examine the genetic, physiological, population, and community level processes that influence the distribution and abundance of species. Biological Resources coursework can prepare students for careers including environmental education, natural resources management, wildlife biology, forestry, and fisheries.

Students should focus their course selections in one of the following three subject categories: aquatic ecology, plant ecology, or animal ecology (19-26 credits). Some courses are offered annually while others are offered once every two years.
