The Village of Mount Pleasant is seeking volunteers to plant small herbaceous plants along the newly restored Pike River. Bring gloves, boots (knee or hip waders), a shovel or trovel, and a friend! Beverages provided. Rain date: May 23rd. Call Alice Thompson at 414-571-8383

Memorial Weekend Victory Garden Blitz

Saturday, May 23 & Sunday, May 24, 2009

"We said 'This is a grassroots movement. Move grass. Grow food.', now let's put our shovels where our mouths are. We are planning a city-wide Victory Garden Blitz, where we will combine our Grassroots Victory Gardening efforts with Memorial Weekend camping, pot-lucking and celebrating."
