Major Area of Focus: Analytical Chemistry
Minor Area of Focus: Organic Chemistry
Previously Attended:
UW-Whitewater, Bachelor of Science; UW-Madison, Masters of Social Work
Why I like Chemistry:
I enjoy chemistry because it is challenging and always evolving. I hope to continue honing my chemical skills in order to solve problems facing our environment.
Why I chose the Chemistry and Biochemistry Program at UW-Milwaukee:
I chose UW-Milwaukee because I wanted to attend graduate school in Wisconsin and Milwaukee felt like a much better fit for me than Madison.
Favorite things to do in Milwaukee:
I enjoy walking along the lakefront on Lincoln Memorial Drive as well as trying out new restaurants on the East Side and Downtown.
Research Goals:
My current research goal is to investigate the use of ionic liquids as a thermal fluid, potentially for applications in solar energy and/or liquefaction of coal.
