General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) is a medium-hub airport owned and operated by Milwaukee County. Mitchell's 13 airlines offer approximately 194 daily departures (plus 194 daily arrivals). General Mitchell International Airport is conveniently located just six miles south of downtown Milwaukee.

Shuttle Service from the airport: Shuttle operators provide door-to-door airport service to hotels and all other locations in Milwaukee County and the surrounding communities. (Many hotels offer shuttle service from the airport, please ask when you make reservations.)
Amtrak can be accessed at the airport or at the central station in downtown Milwaukee.

The Doubletree Hotel Milwaukee City Center is located approximately four miles from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. A block of rooms has been reserved under "Arabic Linguistics Conference" for a rate of $99 per night. To secure the conference rate, rooms must be booked by March 1st, 2009. Rooms may be booked by calling (414) 273-2950 or 1-800-222-TREE.
The Doubletree Hotel offers shuttle transportation to and from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee campus for the conference.
