Valerie Traub, University of MichiganValerie Traub is Professor of English and Women's Studies at the University of Michigan. Known for her innovative work in early modern cultural studies, gender studies, and queer studies, she is the author of The Renaissance of Lesbianism in Early Modern England (2002) and the co-editor, with David Halperin, of Gay Shame (2009). Her work has also encompassed early modern anatomy and cartography, as in her recent article, "The Nature of Norms: Anatomy, Cartography, King Lear," South Central Review (2009). |
