How to get to the UWM Campus

From Kenilworth Apartments:
1.5 miles from campus. Shuttle leaves every 20 minutes (every 30 minutes on weekends). It takes about 5-10 minutes to get to campus.

2.5 miles from campus and it takes about 10-15 minutes with taxi. No shuttle available.

From Ambassador Hotel:
5 miles from campus and it takes about 20-25 minutes to get to campus. Complimentary shuttle service is available.

Organized and hosted by the International Geographical Union Commission on Gender and Geography, Geographic Perspectives on Women AAG Specialty Group, and the Department of Geography at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, this conference will promote exploration of gender, difference, and power relations in contemporary and historical urban landscapes. Topics for papers and panel sessions will focus on the intersections of gender, identity, and power across diverse and contested spaces. The conference is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a racially, ethnically, and religiously diverse city with a rich immigrant and industrial history shaped by labor activism and socialist politics.
