A second interdisciplinary international conference on phenology was held at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, 10-13 September 2012. This conference brought together over 140 experts from around the world in all sub-fields of phenology and related disciplines. The overall theme of the conference was "Future Climate and the Living Earth." Conference products will include a set of peer-reviewed scientific papers in a special issue of the International Journal of Biometeorology.
Conference paper and poster sessions ran over 3 days, starting on Monday 10 September, and finishing on Wednesday 12 September. Field trips will be held on Thursday 13 September. Main events took place at the UW-Milwaukee School of Continuing Education Conference Center, located in the heart of Milwaukee's business and commercial district.
