Research Interests:

My research work focuses on the Rhetoric of Science, Technology, and Management (my dissertation work focused on the articulation of "technical" in an Internet startup, and my next project takes a similar approach to open source software communities), on the theoretical/practical in technical communication practice (I'm particularly interested in knowledge management, information design, and single sourcing), and on research methodologies.

Designing and coding data-driven web sites in PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and ASP. I am currently designing and maintaining sites for the Society for Technical Communication, the Milwaukee Partnership Academy, UWM's Film Studies program, and the Association of Teachers of Technical Writing.
