Gender and [im]migration, and women and labor
Oody teaches Women as Migrants and Workers as a section of Ethnic 250 and is working on developing a section of Ethnic 102: Transnational Migrations: Asian-, Arab-, Euro-American and Latino Identities. She has been teaching in the English Department since 1999, and began teaching for Ethnic Studies in fall of 2006.
Her other scholarly interests include Women's Literature and English Romantic Writers. She also enjoys teaching creative writing, Freshman Seminars, and English Studies. Her poetry appears in many literary magazines, and she has contributed editorially and creatively to The Cream City Review.
