Biography:

Before returning to academia, I worked for several years in France as an editor for cultural and scholarly publications. From 2001 to 2009, I taught French language and literature courses at Mount Holyoke College and Smith College, where I created a French Theater Workshop dedicated to contemporary dramatic and cinematographic texts, as well as poems (1970 to 2000).

The history of French political cinema
The representation of unemployment, work and leisure in fictional film, documentaries and literature
French film in the 1970's

Teaching French culture online
