Her research interests include imagination, memory and trauma in a socio-political context, with a focus on Latin American cinema.

Molly's research and teaching interests include masculinity, national identity, road narratives, the American Dream in 20th and 21st century film and television.

She holds a BA in English (concentration in Film Studies and Creative Writing) from the University of Montana. In addition to having teaching experience in freshman composition and film production and editing, her research interests include media studies, popular culture, feminism and gender studies, participatory culture, and digital and visual rhetoric.
