Ed Brud has more than 30 years of reporting, editing and design experience. He is currently the news design coordinator for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in charge of design for the Sunday news sections. He teaches JAMS 231: Publication Design. He is a graduate of Northwestern University.

Kurt Chandler has worked as a newspaper reporter, magazine writer, editor and author in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Colorado. His work has appeared in a number of publications, from The New York Times and San Francisco Chronicle, to Salon.com and Marie Claire. Chandler was a senior editor at Milwaukee Magazine from 1998 to 2012, and a reporter at the Minneapolis Star Tribune from 1986 to 1995, covering such hot-button issues as immigration, domestic violence, AIDS, abortion and gay rights. He is the author or co-author of five books. Chandler has won a National Headliners Award four times and was named Writer of the Year by the National City & Regional Magazine Association. He has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Colorado. He teaches JAMS 602: Specialized Reporting.

Paul Kosidowski is a free-lance writer and critic who contributes regularly to Milwaukee Magazine, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel and WUWM Milwaukee Public Radio. He was Literary Director of the Milwaukee Repertory Theater from 1999-2006, where he oversaw the theater's play development program and the dramaturgy of 14 productions each season. His writing has also appeared in American Theatre magazine, Backstage, the Boston Globe, Theatre Topics, and Isthmus (Madison, WI). He has an M.A. in Journalism from UW-Madison, and has done advanced graduate work in English at UWM.

Thomas Luljak is the vice chancellor of University Relations and Communications at UW-Milwaukee. His responsibilities include directing the university's media, marketing and public relations initiatives; directing all government relations and neighborhood programs; and overseeing UWM's Alumni Association. Prior to his work at UWM, Luljak served as director of corporate communications at Blue Cross & Blue Shield United of Wisconsin, where he also served as executive director of the company's foundation. Luljak began his career as a broadcast journalist, and served as news director for WTMJ-TV, WTMJ-AM and WKTI-FM. He teaches JAMS 212: Introduction to Corporate Communication and JAMS 280: Sports Marketing. Luljak earned his master's degree from UWM in Mass Communication. His bachelor's degree is from the departments of Radio/TV Film and Speech Education at the UW-Oshkosh.

Mike Oelhafen is currently the Director of Media at Charleston|Orwig. During his 25+ years in advertising, he has worked at agencies like FCB, Doner, Cramer/Krasselt, Hoffman York, and Starcom touching accounts from British Petroleum, IAMS Pet Foods, Long John Silver's, Gillette, Sara Lee, Ball Park, Hillshire Farms, and more. In 2003, Mike was a recipient of a Media Plan of the Year award from MEDIAWEEK for work on Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Mike has a B.S. in Journalism (Advertising and Mass Communications) from UW-Madison. Mike has been a part of the UWM team since 2006.

Malcolm McDowell Woods has nearly thirty years experience as an essayist, reporter, editor and designer. He currently serves as New Media Editor for Outpost Natural Foods in Milwaukee, where he oversees a quarterly magazine, Graze, and directs the company’s web and social media strategies. Woods is on Twitter @malcolmmw. He has served in editorial and management positions at various publications, winning awards for page design and opinion writing. Woods has an undergraduate degree in Mass Communication from UW-Milwaukee.
