Admissions

In order to enroll in the MLS program, an applicant must be admitted to the UWM Graduate School. Specific MLS admission requirements include:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, evidenced by transcripts.
Two-page essay describing the applicant's interest in undertaking interdisciplinary graduate study, including any prior personal, professional, or academic experience related to this goal.
Interview with MLS Program Director.
For international students, a minimum score of 250 on the new Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and 50 on the Test of Spoken English (TSE).

Costs

A modest fee of approximately $100 per credit will be assessed due to the program's innovative nature, intimate scale, special staffing and facilities, and extracurricular offerings.
