Student Focused

MLS students are college graduates of all ages who come from a variety of cultural, academic, and personal backgrounds. Some gained considerable exposure to the liberal arts as undergraduates, but many postponed that opportunity in order to meet the demands of a rigorous, professional education.

MLS students--artists, writers, teachers, accountants, managers, physicians, engineers, community activists, and others--like to read, explore the arts, travel, and share their ideas with other lively, open minds. Often their foremost objective is to expand their understanding of widely shared human concerns and experiences in the face of dramatic global change.
