Associate or Senior Scientist.


The Leonard E. Parker Center for Gravitation, Cosmology, and Astrophysics (CGCA) is seeking a Scientist to research distributed, high throughput, grid and cloud computing in support of LIGO research, manage the data center, and contribute to the broader LIGO project. This position is a fixed-term, non-teaching, academic staff position. A Ph.D. or equivalent in Physics or a related field is required. The candidate will have demonstrated experience deploying and supporting the Linux operating system as well as proficiency with at least one high-level scripting language. It is preferred that the candidate have supervisory experience and demonstrated experience in a large distributed computing environment.
