Chang's research interests include supernovae, compact objects, disk dynamics, plasma astrophysics, and turbulent star formation. In general terms, he is interested in various aspects of theoretical astrophysics and cosmology.

Biographical Sketch:

Philip Chang received his B.A. from Harvard in 1998 and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2005 under the direction of Professor Lars Bildsten. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, Berkeley, from 2005-2009 and at the University of Toronto from 2005-2009. Since 2011, Chang has been working at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he holds the rank of Assistant Professor.
