Introduction

Religion and religious activities remain a very vibrant and important component of Hmong social life in urban America. Many rituals remain in practices, albeit changes to conform to social, cultural, and regulative constraints. Here I present Hmong ritual life in Wisconsin through images of funerary rites, shamanism, and a ceremony called Tu Sub (pronounced "tu sou") This is a Macromedia Flash5 slide show. Description
Community Profiles: Mapping the Religious Landscape of Milwaukee, Wisconsin

In mapping the religious demography of Milwaukee, profiles of various unique religious communities in the city have been compiled. These profiles, published as part of the Harvard Pluralism Project's directory of religious organizations, include information such as history, demographics, activities, schedules, contact information, links to community websites when available, and other relevant information. Please note that this list, organized by religious tradition, is in no way exhaustive; please check back frequently to find new profiles that have been posted as part of our ongoing research.
