Financial Assistance

Financial assistance is available to M.A. students in several forms. The major source of financial assistance is in the form of teaching assistanceships, which are granted every year on a competitive basis. Teaching assistants receive tuition remission and a substantial stipend. Students may also apply for fellowships. UWM offers Advanced Opportunity Program fellowships to disadvantaged minority students on a competitive basis. All students are eligible to compete for Graduate School Fellowships.
