The Southeast Asian-American Student Services (SAASS) office provides academic advising and personal supports and services which are essential for Southeast Asian-American (Cambodian, Hmong, Laotian, and Vietnamese) students to achieve their educational goals. The supportive services include advising, career planning assistance, application for financial aid assistance, personal counseling and more. Recruitment activities include inviting high school students to visit the campus, hosting educational and career conferences for high school students, application for admission assistance, and visiting high schools as needed. To best serve the students, the program also works closely with the faculty, staff and students at UWM, and Southeast Asian community-based organizations and leaders in Milwaukee and Wisconsin.
