Hi! My name is Dao Vang. I received my undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and have been a graduate student in economics at UWM for many years. While a graduate student, I was actively involved with the Hmong Student Association at UWM and became its president during the 1990-91 school year. Prior to working as program coordinator for the Southeast Asian Student Academic Services program, I worked as an advisor at UWM. I also have worked as an economics instructor at Milwaukee Area Technical College for three years. Being a former fellow student at UWM for many years, I feel connected to the students and I am very familiar with the campus resources. I also have extensive connections with the Southeast Asian communities in Milwaukee and Wisconsin. In addition to working, my favorite pastimes are reading, jogging, playing volleyball and pool. If you have any questions (be it academic, career or personal), please feel free to contact me or stop by my office. An appointment is not necessary.
