Submission Guidelines
Submissions fall under three categories: a journal-length article or literature review, a book review, and short essay. Submissions are due by June 1, 2013 for the Volume VI, Fall/Winter 2013 issue.
Journal-length Article or Literature Reviews:
- Articles and Literature Reviews need to include a one paragraph abstract
- We encourage the use of photos, maps, and other multimedia formats
- No longer than 30 pages
Book Review:
- Should provide title, author, and full citation above first paragraph
- No longer than 5 pages
Essay:
- An essay submission can review a research trend, pose a research question/propose a research agenda, review a theoretical framework, or offer a short commentary on an urban-related topic
- No longer than 5 pages
Formatting:
- Submit electronic file as Word document
- Double-spaced
- 12 pt. font
- Left-aligned margins and no columns
- One inch margins
- Style conventions should be appropriate to the discipline the author writes in
Consent:
Material submitted to this e-journal implies consent by the author to allow e.polis to edit and publish submissions online.
