Launch of USP Alumni/Student Mentor Program
Where: Collaboration Commons, Zilber School of Public Health, 1240 N. 10th St.
This is an important opportunity to meet successful Urban Studies alumni in the non-profit, corporate, academic, and government sectors and hear about their work experiences, and the connections between their professional careers and their urban studies degrees. The first half will consist of alumni speaking on a panel, with the second hour devoted to students and alumni breaking into small groups to allow for conversations, rotating around the room every 15-20 minutes.

Where: Brewhouse Inn and Suites (1215 N. 10th St), http://www.brewhousesuites.com/ which is just across the street from the School of Public Health.
PARKING: There is two-hour metered street parking until 6pm, after which time street parking is free. There is also an inexpensive parking garage that you can enter from 9th St, the cost is .75/hour.

|4pm||Keynote lecture: “Reform, Redemption, and Mass Incarceration” with Dr. Bruce Western Professor of Sociology and Guggenheim Professor of Criminal Justice Policy at Harvard University. Chancellor Lovell will also speak briefly, along with a Mayoral Proclamation declaring April 26th Urban Studies Day, followed by the Riverside University Drumline and Jazz Ensemble|
