Launching Gender Identity & Gender Expression (GIE) Commission
The Chancellor's Advisory Committee on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues is looking for volunteers for its newly formed Gender Identity Expression Commission, a sub-group of the LGBT Advisory Committee. The Commission is just being formed and was prompted, in part, by a student initiative. Their charge will be to create equity, access, and an inclusive environment for people of all genders through education, advocacy and institutional change. Examples of issues that the Commission will work on are gender-neutral bathrooms, access at the Klotsche Center, and training that build awareness.
