Dr. Isaiah Bowman CollectionPrint and Negative InventoriesBefore Dr. Isaiah Bowman became Director of the American Geographical Society Library he made three expeditions to South America while teaching at Yale University. Each trip has a slightly different inventory, but all are based directly from Dr. Bowman's notes. Please read each trips respective Print Inventory Key to understand the PDF files. The Bowman negatives were scanned in their entirety thanks to a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities in 2010. Many of them can be seen in the AGS Library Photo Archive, part of the UWM Libaries Digital Collections here.
