GetFacts [Applied Population Laboratory, Univ. of Wisconsin-Madison]
GetFacts is a thematic mapping and data downloading site with an emphasis on Census data. Attribute data can be appended to any of several geographic levels of interest, including counties, census tracts or block groups.

HUD User Data Sets
Data sets available for download from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), including: housing surveys, assisted housing, fair market rents, government sponsored enterprise data, qualified census tracts and difficult development areas, and many others.

LandScan [Oak Ridge National Laboratory]
The LandScan dataset "comprises a worldwide population database compiled on a 30" X 30" latitude/longitude grid." Access to datasets requires registration.

Great Britain Historical Geographical Information System [Univ. of Portsmouth]
Digital information about Britain's localities as they have changed over time. Describes an historical GIS project in which data from Great Britain in the 1830s through the earliy 1970s was compiled. It includes administrative area boundary data and linked social, economic, and electoral statistics.

Wisconsin Historic Preservation Database (WHPD)
For an annual online subscription fee, users can access the Archeological Sites Inventory (ASI), Architectural History Inventory (AHI), and the Bibliography of Archeological Reports (BAR) and view dynamic maps of site locations.
