Coastal Great Lakes Land Cover Data - NOAA Coastal Services Center
Raster data created from land cover and land cover change analyses conducted for the U.S. coastal zone of the Great Lakes are available at this website. The data includes parts of eastern and northern Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, and Pensylvania for 1996 - 2001 - 2006.

Access to aerial photographs, digital elevation models, digital raster graphics, satellite imagery, and land cover data.
Land Information and Computer Graphics Facility (LICGF) [Univ. of Wisconsin Madison]
The LICGF provides "research, training, and outreach in the use of land and geographic information systems (LIS/GIS). [They focus] on land records modernization, land and natural resource management applications, and the use of information for land-use decision-making."

Association for Geographic Information

Canadian Council for Geographic Education
A joint effort between the Royal Canadian Geographical Society and the National Geographic Society of Washington D.C., the program aims to strengthen geographic education in the classroom.
Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC)
The FGDC "promotes the coordinated development, use, sharing, and dissemination of geospatial data on a national basis," including the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) data publishing effort. The site includes information on standards and metadata.
Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA)
GITA is a non-profit educational organization that specializes in the application of geospatial information and technology to the nation's infrastructure needs.
