ARCHITECTURE


Academic Program
 

Degrees offered include the B.S. in architectural studies, Master of Architecture, and the Ph.D. The School of Architecture and Urban Planning also offers a Master of Architecture/Master of Urban Planning degree.

Emphasis is on environmental design, building design, urban design and development, and, especially at the doctoral level, environment-behavior studies. Doctoral studies emphasize multidisciplinary environmental studies and connections with socio-cultural behavior. Applications include urban design and planning, as well as environmental studies. A master's level certificate in preservation studies is also offered, including political, social, legal, and economic aspects, as well as design and construction considerations.
