WOMEN'S STUDIES


Academic Program
 

An interdisciplinary undergraduate major is offered in addition to a certificate available to students majoring in any field. A graduate certificate program in women's studies is similarly available to students in any field. Women's Studies span the humanities and social sciences. Relevant criteria for women's studies courses include �focus on the past and present scholarship of women and their experience in society; and a methodology which treats the experience of both sexes as of equal value and of equal scholarly importance, aiming to correct omissions and biases in the treatment of women often found in traditional fields.�
