UW-Milwaukee Interlibrary Loan Lending Policies
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Interlibrary Loan office provides book loans and photocopying services to libraries.
If you are an academic, public or special library, we accept either OCLC requests to the symbol "GZN" or webform requests (if OCLC is not an option for your institution). If your institution needs a webform login, please submit your library's information at Lending ILLiad Account Request Form or contact Endora Smith at libill@uwm.edu; and she will gladly set you up after you provide mailing information about your library.
POLICIES & CHARGES
| Will accept requests by: | OCLC or web request only. If you would like to submit a request via the webform and do not have an account, please submit your library's information at Lending ILLiad Account Request Form or contact Endora Smith at libill@uwm.edu or phone 414-229-4493 to arrange a logon username and password for this service. No ALA forms by fax or email, please. |
| Loan Period: | • 4 weeks for U.S. Libraries • 2 weeks upon receipt for international libraries • Renewals possible, typically 2 weeks |
| Loan Charges: | • In State - $7.50 • Out of state - $15.00 • International - $20.00 or 2 IFLA vouchers • Rush Services - $20.00 total, please provide your FedEx or UPS account number in the request • Billed via IFM (preferred) or invoice |
| Copies: | • 50 pages per request • 20 print exposures per request from microfiche • Sent via Ariel-FTP (default), Odyssey, mail, fax |
| Copy Charges: | • In State - $7.50 • Out of state - $15.00 • International - $20.00 or 2 IFLA vouchers • Rush - $20.00 total |
BILLING & SHIPPING
Billing: IFM or invoice monthly
Payment: Accept checks and money orders. If you cannot pay with a check or money order, we will accept IFLA vouchers. Credit cards and postal vouchers are not accepted.

Shipping: Library rate/airmail for loans. Ariel, library rate and fax for photocopies. Federal Express for Rush requests (please provide a Fed Ex account number).
