- New Grove Dictionary of Music & Musicians, 2nd Ed. Full-text, Online.
- International Index to Music Periodicals also called IIMP, indexing and abstracting of music periodicals, includes a broad array of pedagogical publications not included in RILM
- RILM, Repertoire Internationale de Litterature Musicale, the premier scholarly indexing and abstracting Service.
- Classical Music Library streaming audio of over 35,000 tracks from 32 record labels
- Naxos Music Library streaming audio of over 85,000 tracks - essentially the complete Naxos Recording label, plus many other smaller labels. Includes a great deal of world and ethnic music too
- Musical America - Music Industry news and directory of performers, agents, and presenting organizations

- OCLC WorldCat, a listing of the holdings of virtually all libraries in the US and Canada (and many other countries as well).
- Academic Search through EBSCOHost. Interdisciplinary access to indexing, including full text periodical literature.
- Lexis/Nexis Academic, full text of over 4,000 current newspapers as well as legal, government, and business sources
- Newspaper Archive Elite, full text of older newspapers in .pdf. Includes over 23 million fully searchable pages from over 400 cities and towns
- Proquest Newspapers, Full-text of over 550 US and international news sources from 1986-present
- Proquest Historical Newspaper is full text/image of the New York Times from 18 Sept 1851-31 Dec 2001
