Author Kevin Phillips to Speak October 2

1775: A Good Year for RevolutionWriter and political commentator Kevin Phillips will talk about his most recent book, "1775: A Good Year For Revolution," and sign copies on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 7 p.m. in the American Geographical Society Library, located on the third floor of the UWM Golda Meir Library, 2311 E. Hartford Ave.

Phillips has written for the Los Angeles Times, Harper's Magazine and Time, as well as contributing regularly to NPR. He is the author of fourteen books, including New York Times bestsellers "American Theocracy" and "Bad Money." His book "The Cousins' Wars" was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in history.
