Segment Description: The Milwaukee Newsreel Program. Downer College holds its annual Founder's Day ceremonies.  Footage of the freshmen, sophomore, junior, and senior classes proceeding to the chapel.  College President Lucia Briggs follows the students.

Segment Description: The Milwaukee Newsreel Program. Downer College celebrated its 100th birthday.  President Lucia Briggs met with the main speaker Dr. Joseph Johnson President of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.  Governor Walter Kohler, Mayor Zeidler, and Ralph Hoyt were also present.

Segment Description: The Milwaukee Newsreel Program. Freshmen at Downer College searched for the buried hat - an annual tradition.  The sophomore class supervised and made the hunt harder for the freshmen.  Gretchen Von Germeten finally found the hat.  See script for other names.

Segment Description: The Milwaukee Newsreel Program. Students from Downer College compete against each other in the school's annual regatta on the Milwaukee River.  Spectators cheer from the bank of the river.  The winning class celebrates and the coxswain gets thrown into the river.

Segment Description: The Milwaukee Newsreel Program. Footage of Downer College's commencement ceremony.  95 students, the largest class in school history, graduated.  It was also the last graduation for retiring President Lucia Briggs.  See script for other names.

Segment Description: The Milwaukee Newsreel Program. The Milwaukee Downer College field hockey team took on the boys from the Milwaukee Country Day football team.  The boys wore wild outfits while the girls dressed in jeans and sweatshirts.  An inter-school dance was held later that evening.

Segment Description: The Milwaukee Newsreel Program. The junior class defeats the senior class in the annual Downer College regatta.  After the victory, junior coxswain Ann Frischel is tossed into the water.

Segment Description: Special Assignment.  Part one of a four part series.  Milwaukee Downer College holds its last commencement ceremony.  President John B. Johnson distributes diplomas to students.  Attorney Thomas Tolan, Jr. is the commencement speaker.

Segment Description: Special Assignment.  Part two of a four part series.  Milwaukee Downer College held its last regatta before merging with Lawrence University.  The regatta was first held in 1902.  The junior class, led by Barbara Allen and Lee Dodds, won.

Segment Description: Special Assignment.  Part three of a four part series.   Milwaukee Downer College held its last graduation ceremony.  The quiet and solitude of the campus was remembered.  The commencement speaker was Milwaukee attorney Thomas Tolan, Jr.

Segment Description: Special Assignment.  Part four of a four part series.  113-year-old Milwaukee Downer College held its last commencement ceremony.  There were 47 women who graduated as the last class.  The senior class serenaded its class advisor - Anne Lay.
