A Triple A 100 mile car race was held at the State Fair Park race track.  Karl Marchese observed the race.  Racers included Jim Rigsby and winner Mike Nazaruk.  Driver Johnny McDowell was killed in an accident during qualifying.  Shows footage of the wrecked car.

Segment Description: The Milwaukee Newsreel Program. A crowd of nearly 24,000 people watched a 150 mile stock car race at the State Fair Park race track.  There were a number of accidents throughout the race but no injuries.  Frank Mundy was the winner.  See script for additional names.

Segment Description: The Milwaukee Newsreel Program. Over 24,000 people watched a 100 mile national championship car race at State Fair Park race track.  Drivers included Marshall Teague, Jim Rathmann, Frank Mundy, Roy Butler, and winner Sam Hanks.

A 200 mile Triple A Championship car race was held during State Fair at the race track.  The race was the richest dirt track event in the country.  There were a number of crashes and fires during the race.  Chuck Stevenson won.  See script for additional names.

Segment Description: The Milwaukee Newsreel Program. Race car drivers try out the new asphalt track at State Fair Park.  Mayor Zeidler and West Allis Mayor Klentz cut the ribbon before the race.  Drivers include Bill Vukovich and Chuck Stevenson who wins the race.
