Segment Description: The Milwaukee Newsreel Program. Actor Pat O'Brien came home to Milwaukee for an engagement at the Schroeder Hotel.  He was serenaded by the Marquette University Band.  O'Brien reminisces with an old friend and talks about his family.

Segment Description: The Milwaukee Newsreel Program. Marquette President Father Edward O'Donnell presents 1937 graduate Don Huth with the School of Journalism's annual By-Line Award.  Huth is the Associated Press Bureau Chief in Manila.  Journalism Dean J. L. O'Sullivan is also present.

Marquette University fraternities decorate their houses for homecoming.  Senator Joseph McCarthy and his new wife attend the game.  The football team tied with the College of the Pacific for the second year in a row.  See script for names of players.

Segment Description: The Milwaukee Newsreel Program. The Marquette University School of Journalism presented its annual By-Line Award to Edward G. Gerbic, a 1931 graduate.  Journalism School Dean J. L. O'Sullivan made the presentation as Father M. G. Barnett stood by.
