Marquette University broke ground for its new million-dollar student union building.  University President Father Edward O'Donnell turned the first shovel of dirt.  Alumni Association President Richard Gogin and Dr. George Parkinson of UW-Milwaukee were present.

Marquette University broke new ground for the new medical school building.  Marquette President Father Edward O'Donnell did the honor of turning the first shovel.  Others present were Father Clarence Ryan, Dr. Max Fox, Dr. Edgar Habeck, and Dr. John Hirschboeck.

The formel dedication of Marquette University's new student union named for the University's late president, Father Peter Brooks.  Footage of the interior.  Others in attendance include Father Edward J. Segment Description: The Milwaukee Newsreel Program. Atomic Energy Commissioner Thomas Murray was in town for the dedication of the new library at Marquette University.  He talked with Marquette Graduate School Dean Father Edward J. Drummond and Harry S. Pease of the Milwaukee Journal.

Segment Description: The Milwaukee Newsreel Program. The murals inside Marquette University's Brooks Memorial Union were dedicated.  They were commissioned by Gimbel's.  Bruce Gimbel and Charles Zadok viewed the main lobby mural.  Art expert James Johnson Sweeny and Father Edward O'Donnell also participated.

Segment Description: Special Assignment.  C. Frederick Wehr, also known as Todd Wehr, returned to Milwaukee to donate 2.25 million dollars to Marquette University.  Wehr and University President Father William F. Kelley talk about the buildings that will be built with the money.

Segment Description: Daily Footage. Footage of the dedication of a new dormitory on the Marquette University campus. Marquette President Father John Raynor shakes hands and applies cement to a brick. Footage of construction vehicles.

Segment Description: Daily Footage. Footage of the aftermath of a fire at Marquette University's Teatro Maria Theatre located at 1210 W. Michigan St. The area is largely destroyed. A burned piano sits in the debris.
