Multimedia Library (east wing, 1st floor)

The Multimedia Library exists to collect, maintain, and provide access to a variety of Multimedia materials including 1/2 VHS videotape, DVD,
laserdisc, audiobooks, and CD-ROMs. The UWM Multimedia Library Collection consists of over 6000 1/2 VHS, DVD, laserdisc, and audiobook titles and over 1600 CD-ROM titles and embraces many diverse disciplines. 1/2 VHS, DVD, and laserdisc titles are available for checkout by UWM Faculty, Staff, Teaching Assistants, Research Assistants and Graduate Students for up to seven days with their valid UWM ID. UWM Undergraduate Students can check out titles, except for titles that have been placed on Reserve, for up to three days with their valid UWM ID. Non-UWM patrons may view titles in the UWM Libraries' Multimedia Viewing Room (E157) in exchange for their valid driver's license or picture ID.

Many CD-ROM titles in the collection are available for checkout by the
UWM campus community with proper identification. Non-UWM patrons can use this collection in the UWM Libraries' Electronic Reserve Viewing Room (E176) in exchange for their valid driver's license or picture ID.

Items may also be used in the Library’s Multimedia Viewing Room, E157. (Non-UWM patrons must present a photo ID).

The Libraries have a new wireless laptop loan service, with 30 wireless laptops available for use by current UWM students with active UWM IDs. Laptops are checked out from here at the Multimedia Library, and loaned on a first-come, first served basis. You must show your valid UWM student ID card.

The standard Loan period is 4 hours (not renewable) but there are five (5) laptops available for extended checkout periods of up to 48 hours.
