Newspapers (west wing, lower level)
Current paper issues of the most frequently read newspapers (including Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel, New York Times, and Chicago Tribune) are kept hanging from the wooden racks. Other US and foreign newspapers are shelved alphabetically. Older and continued subscriptions to newspapers are on microfilm. Use the online catalog to check for dates and to obtain call numbers. The library has electronic access to hundreds of newspapers from around the world.

The library allows drinks in acceptable
containers: rigid mugs and screw top bottles. (Soda cans and soft sided coffee cups are not allowed.) Food is allowed only
in the Grind Coffee Shop area, The Gathering Place (first floor, east wing).

Microforms (west wing, lower level)
Microforms are materials in microfilm or microfiche format. All of these materials are listed in the online catalog and can be retrieved at the service desk by the call number. Microform reader/printers do not take change; you must use a print card. The cost per page is .25 per printed page. Emailing or saving to floppy disk or burning to a CD are free. (You must supply your own writable CD's or zip discs – floppies can be used, but won't hold much information.) Speak with the staff on duty in the Microforms area for more information.
