Reference Collection

The materials in the Reference collection consist of an extensive variety of resources that include dictionaries, encyclopedias, directories, almanacs, handbooks, yearbooks, biographical sources, and printed indexes and abstracts. The materials are arranged by Library of Congress call number. Reference materials do not circulate; there are photocopiers in the back of the room.

Computer Workstations/Electronic Resources

The Library is fully automated and offers access to a wide variety of electronic resources. The computer workstations are networked with easy access to the PantherCat, the online catalog, article databases to articles (some which include the full text of the articles), as well as the online catalogs of many other libraries.

(Library workstations are primarily to be used for library-related reference and research purposes only. Those with an ePanther account can use the campus computer lab on the second floor, east wing of the library. Computers in the computer lab include unrestricted Internet access and productivity software such as Microsoft Office.)

Reference Room Printers

There are three printers in the Reference Room. Copies are $.06 per copy with a print card. Print cards can be purchased at in the lobby near the Circulation Desk (1st floor, west), Reserve Room (1st floor, east), and in the I&MT computer labs throughout campus (including the lab in the library--2nd floor, east).
