Maps of Milwaukee

The collection includes digital images of 12 maps of Milwaukee from the holdings of the American Geographical Society Library at UWM Libraries. The maps were scanned using a large format scanner. The high-resolution files are presented in three formats: Zoomify, JPEG2000, and MrSID.

• Zoomify provides optimal zoom and pan controls without requiring a browser plug-in.
• JPEG2000 is a high-resolution format that is incorporated into the descriptive records.
• MrSID is an alternative high-resolution format that requires downloading the ExpressView Browser Plugin. A free viewer can be downloaded from the LizardTech Company page.
